Sr. PHP Developer

The Sr. PHP Developer is a key member of the engineering team who designs and builds the entire presentation application layer of our advanced transport stream monitoring and reporting system back-end to the front-end user interface. Mixed Signals challenges its developers to create applications where scalable and efficient designs are critical.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in developing high-performance, database-driven websites or web applications
  • 3 years of solid LAMP/PHP development experience with medium to large scale successfully deployed projects
  • 2 years of Object-Oriented class design with PHP 5
  • Working knowledge of database design and SQL standards
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or MySQL databases
  • Ability to write high quality code and develop innovative solutions in complex technical areas while working in a fast-paced, dynamic product environment

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field of study

Canada Sales Candidate

Seeking an individual to manage Sales and Business Development for Mixed Signals’ Canada business. This individual would take the company’s direct Canada presence to the next level and grow the customer base for Mixed Signals.

Position:

Director of Sales & Business Development, Canada

Qualifications:

  • 15 years in technical sales experience to the cable, satellite and telecommunications (Video Service Providers –“VSP’s”) sectors in Canada. Experience in sales to broadcasters is a plus.
  • 5+ years of management responsibility
  • A record of building significant revenue growth. Proven sales closing skills.
  • Extensive network of high level customer contacts with Canadian VSPs
  • Must speak English; French is a plus
  • Master’s Degree or EE or equivalent are a plus

Responsibilities & Objectives:

  • Reports to Senior Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing
  • Oversees all Sales Activity in Canada:
  • Customer identification and qualification
  • Direct sales
  • Resellers
  • Strategic alliances
  • In the short term, generate new prospects and substantially increase Mixed Signals’ Canada sales pipeline;
  • Medium term, build a steadily growing, predictable revenue stream at or above plan;
  • Closing business; winning strategic deals;

Manage Canada operations:

  • P&L for Canada
  • Manage customer trials
  • Forecast unit shipments
  • Coordinate Canadian trade shows
  • Interface with the company’s marketing for appropriate PR issues
